How do I mod my Xbox 360 using iXtreme 1.5?

Guys I think it’s time to mod my Xbox because it broke many discs and I wanna do backups. I’m a noob at mods.

Here
1 Take apart xbox and computer
2 Connect sata from Xbox disk drive to computer sata port
3 Download and burn slax iso to a blank dvd
4 unplug all but one dvd/cd drive (leave in xbox and the drive for slax)
*Turn on xbox first to power drive
5 Put slax in the pc drive and restart and boot from it
6 it should scroll text for a while (open and close the xbox drive while this happens) Once done it should the eject presses to open and 3 to close.
7Then restart computer but leave xbox running the drive should be recognized.
8 take the ixtreme (use 1.4) and run flashix
*if you have a hitachi 79 there are a few more steps, google it for more info
