If you have to get an E74 repair from XBOX what is the odds it will happen again?

I just sent back my XBOX to be fixed for an E74 error. I understand this is pretty common. Anyone know what the odds are this will happen again after the fix?

Has it ever happened to you and do you know someone that had a xbox 360 elite and that got the red lights of death.I would really like to get a xbox 360 elite but i dont want the 3 lights of death to appear..

The elite uses the same CPUs and heatsinks as the other models, so it has the same chance of getting the RROD as any other older 360 out there.

The new hardware, originally codenamed Falcon by Microsoft, is heading to store shelves and will eventually be available in all 360s. However, stores will sell their older stocks first before putting these newer models on the shelves.

Right now, some of the 360 Arcade and Halo Edition boxes are using the newest Falcon hardware. You can determine a 360 on the shelf is using the newer hardware or not by looking at its manufacturing date and lot #. Those units manufactured on or after 8/26/2007, with a lot # of 734 or higher should be using Falcon hardware.

The Falcon revision includes the new, cooler-running 65nm CPU, as well as redesigned heatsinks. It supposedly has the best chance of avoiding the RROD problem, but there isn’t enough data avilable yet to determine if this is true or not.
