how to fix xbox controller port

XBOX 360 won’t turn on because of USB?

My XBOX 360 Elite doesn’t turn on anymore… =(

This is what happened:
My cousin decides he wants to play, so he makes me get him a controller (wired). When I plug it into one of the 360 USB ports (in the front), it gets stuck. Apparently, I plugged the controller in the wrong way and pushed hard (not too hard though). When I took the USB out, a little piece came out with it (about the size of an SD card). So, I turn the 360 off and it never turns on again. How could a little USB port thingy break a whole XBOX 360? I thought that just the USB port would be broke, not the whole 360…

So, can you tell me what’s wrong with it and how to fix it? Please and thank you!

First off check to see if everything is plugged in. Then try to turn on your xbox by both a controller and on the xbox (pulling it out could of also pulled out the faceplate so the button isn’t centered). If that doesn’t work i would send it into MS and pray it is still under warranty.

fix xbox mtu problem

i keep trying to hook up my xbox to xbox live, but it keeps failing the MTU?

i know, change it on the router and the modem, well i did that, changed it to 1492, but it still says the MTU isn’t right. i tried hooking it directly to the modem, still didn’t work, still the MTU. i tried hooking it up to my laptop that has wifi capability, it still failed…we even took our xbox and tried it at someone elses house and it worked, then tried it with a different cable, still didnt work here, then we brought over someone elses xbox and it didnt work, so…in short it wasnt the cable or the xbox 360, and i do believe i fixed the possible problem with the modem and router…but i dont know…could someone help me?

While this may not help you because you might have already tried a lot, but here is the official Microsoft Support page.
