xbox nintendo emulators

My custom Xbox controller cable to connect my PC! Help please!?

When I plug in the house of my friends, shows up and all I do is to click allow and do what I want with it. On my computer the sound being connected, but nothing is displayed and can not do something with it. I try to use it on a Nintendo emulator 64 (N64 my everything and I want to play lol Mario). Could someone tell me how to fix this problem so you can use. I tried different USB ports and it does the same.

you using XP or Vista? I think with XP you need to download drivers from Microsoft. all I can think of right now! with no Vista drivers are sufficient its plug n play
