xbox network adapter red light

Xbox 360 Network Adapter?

Now wtf! I connect me adepter, the light on it is red, so ok its ready to be connected. I go network settings edit settings and i go to click wireless mode but it wont let me click it it ant highlighted! So i go to test Xbox (live) connection n it says disconnected! Now wtf do u do its so complicated, some1 please help

Does your router have a wep key security. An is it your own router or a router from an apartment complex if you live in an apartment if not then you’re good.

Go to your computer and click start then run an put cmd. For command prompt. On the command prompt put ipconfig/all to see your ip settings.

Copy what you see but change the ip address one number difference or something close to it.

Get the dns ip address and the gateway use it the same way.

Go to Network Settings.

Edit Settings

This is on Manual settings you can always put it on automatic and do manual on the dns one if you like.

IP Address: 192.168.1.100 or whatever is close to your ip address that isn’t being used.

Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0

Gateway: lets just say its 192.168.1.1

DNS Primary: You can also use the same Gateway IP Address as the primary and secondary dns ip address.

DNS Secondary: Same as Primary

Wireless Mode when you select it detect for your router access point and connect to it, if it has a security wep key put it in and do the connect to xbox live it will tell you once you do the wireless mode.

Also make sure your router doesnt have a firewall on, if it does you might also have the problem of not being able to get on it with your xbox live.
